Rapper Nicki Minaj continues to delve into her personal life following the release of her newest album, "The Pinkprint."
Minaj, whose real name is Onika Maraj, discussed her family, past relationships, drug use, and more on the intimate album, and discussed a recent breakup and a high school abortion in a recent interview.
The 32-year-old alluded to a terminated pregnancy on the song "All Things Go," stating that her baby would have been the same age as her brother, Micaiah.
"My child with Aaron, would've been 16, any minute," she rapped. "So in some ways I feel like 'Caiah, is the both of them/ It's like he's 'Caiah's little angel, looking over him."
She revisited the painful memory in an interview published Thursday.
"I thought I was going to die," she told Rolling Stone regarding the abortion. "I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through." She said the decision "haunted" her all her life, but stops short of expressing regret.
"It'd be contradictory if I said I wasn't pro-choice," she admitted. "I wasn't ready. I didn't have anything to offer a child."
Minaj also rapped about the abortion on the third verse of a mixtape track called "Autobiography":
