Nexus 6 2015 release, specs rumors: Fingerprint scanning technology?

Another set of rumors about the alleged 2015 version of Google's Nexus 6 is once again going around online.

Based on the latest speculations on the latest edition of the alleged smartphone posted by gadget news tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer on his @OnLeaks social media site, the new Nexus 6 will come with the same rear fingerprint scanner that is also rumored to be featured in the upcoming Nexus 5.

According to Hemmerstoffer, the tip comes from highly detailed blueprints of the upcoming Google smartphone that is reportedly being manufactured by the Chinese mobile device manufacturer Huawei.

The 2015 version of Nexus 6 reportedly bests the new Nexus 5 version that is being developed by the South Korean tech giant LG, after its fingerprint scanner was transferred to the back side of the device.

Earlier reports about Huawei's Nexus 6 for 2015 claimed that the device will be released with a 5.7-inch model, while another source told USwitch that the new Nexus 6 will be available in two sizes. One of them will be released with a 5.5-inch display, while the other one will be the rumored 5.7-inch model.

Meanwhile, the current version of the Nexus 6 recently received a review for its battery capacity posted on the Network World. According to the article, a number of smartphone users have complained about the battery life of their smartphones, particularly the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The review claims that the battery of the Nexus 6 does not normally need to be charged in the middle of the day despite having multiple apps running at once. It also stated that the clear images of the device with its 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution with 493 ppi screen can withstand long hours of use.

If the same battery capacity will be featured in the new Nexus 6 2015 that will allegedly come out sometime in December or November this year, it could mean that the new device from Google can give Apple Inc.'s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and Samung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Plus a run for their money.
