Newsboys to Perform at 9/11 Service

|PIC1|Inpop Records' Christian band newsboys will perform at the US Pentagon's sixth annual memorial service to be held in the Pentagon Auditorium on 11 September.

The event will honour those who gave their lives at the Pentagon and elsewhere on September 11, 2001.

The multi-faith service will include members of the armed forces as well as government employees and their families. Additionally, the band will host a concert immediately following for all employees.

"The events of 9/11 touched us all," says Peter Furler, lead vocalist of newsboys, "and the willing sacrifices of the men and women of our armed forces to defend is truly awe-inspiring. We are honoured and humbled to have been asked to be a part of the memorial service at the Pentagon this year, and we hope our music and message will be an inspiration to all those who attend."

Newsboys recently released their fourteenth record, GO, to critical acclaim and commercial success. Produced by Peter Furler and Tedd T, the project debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. For more information and upcoming tour dates, visit www.newsboys.com.
