A new "Street Fighter" comic book series is set to debut this coming December.

The new series, which will be called "Street Fighter Unlimited," will be made by UDON Entertainment.

"Street Fighter Unlimited" will feature franchise protagonists Ryu, Ken, Chun-li, Guile, Cammy, and Alex as the heroes in the story. Over the course of the entire series, the main characters will be involved in a long struggle with the nefarious Shadaloo Organization and Gill's Secret Society, according to Hardcore Gamer.

Aside from the main characters, other prominent names from the storied history of the "Street Fighter" franchise are also expected to make appearances in the series.

The new project will be written by Ken Siu-chong of "Super Street Fighter" fame. Edwin Huang and Joe Ng will be doing the majority of the art work for "Street Fighter Unlimited."

Other writers and artists such as Omar Dogan, Chris Sarracini, Adam Warren and Jim Zub will also be joining the team.

Each new comic book will also include a four-page bonus story.

"Street Fighter Unlimited #1" will be available for $3.99 upon release. The entire comic book series is expected to last until at least 2016.

In related news, "Tekken" Producer Katsuhiro Harada has revealed that the long-awaited "Tekken x Street Fighter" is well into the development process, according to IGN.

Harada went on to say that crucial game elements such as the character models, move sets and even the general gameplay system have already been fixed. He also said that the character lineup for "Tekken x Street Fighter" has also been chosen.

The producer added that timing is a bit of an issue for the game right now. He said that with fans of both fighting game franchises eagerly awaiting the release of both "Street Fighter V" and "Tekken 7," now might not be the right time to release the crossover title.

No official release date for "Tekken x Street Fighter" has been given.
