iPhone fans can surely rejoice now that a new Apple smartphone has been confirmed to arrive. According to reports, iPhone 6S (or iPhone 7) is set to be introduced at an Apple event on Sept. 9.

The tech giant has already distributed invites for the event and finally put silence to all the speculations surrounding the new iPhone 6 successor, although Apple has yet to refer to the new phone by its official name.

There were also speculations that the event will unveil two of the rumored Apple devices: iPhone 6S and iPhone 6 Plus. Although there's no word about what the devices have to offer to consumers, numerous reports point out that they may have Force Touch technology already seen in Apple Watch.

Apart from Force Touch, rumors also suggest that the new phone will have a 12-megapixel camera or a camera that offers image quality comparable to that coming from a DSLR camera.

Another popular rumor about the new iPhone is that it will sport a new case color, which is rose gold.

A report from BGR stated that Spigen, a popular company that makes protective cases for mobile devices, has launched new cases designed for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus; the new cases are in rose gold color.

So based on Spigen's ad, it has already given away the name and color of the new phones from Apple.

The company is confident about the rose gold phones, which will become an appropriate color match for the Apple Watch, which bears the same color and is made of real gold.

Previous reports have speculated that rose gold will be the fourth color for an iPhone, while there are also others who say that Apple won't be releasing the phone in such color.

Sept. 9 is only days away and Apple fans should have a lot of things to look forward to in the event.
