New England Patriots vs Green Bay Packers match preview

The New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers will face off in a big NFL game in Week 13 Sunday. According to some, these are the two best teams in the NFL this season, which makes this game a mouth-watering prospect as the postseason draws ever closer.

Today's game between the Patriots and the Packers is scheduled to start at 4.25 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on the CBS network. The game can also be watched online through live stream - free via the link provided below.

Could this be a preview of next year's Super Bowl? According to a number of pundits it will be, and this should allow one of these teams to get the psychological advantage if that match up were ever to take place.

This game will see Tome Brady face off against Aaron Rodgers - combined, these two quarterbacks account for 56 touchdowns so far this season.

Brady comes into the game on 271 of 417 for 2,998 yards and 26 touchdowns, compared to Rodgers 228 of 342 for 2,957 yards and 30 touchdowns.

Rob Gronkowski is the Patriots' top receiver, and he has gone 812 yards on 58 catches for 9 touchdowns. For the Packers, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are tough to separate as the top Green Bay receiver. Nelson has gone 1,066 yards on 68 catches for 9 touchdowns, where as Cobb has gone 837 yards - more than 200 fewer than Nelson - but has more touchdowns with 10 to his name.

These teams are closely matched in offense, with the Patriots posting a total yard average of 385.9 yards per game, compared to the Packers' 368.8 yards per game.

On pass, the Patriots have 272.5 yards per game compared to the Packers' 261.8 yards per game. On rush, the patriots are averaging 113.4 yards per game, where as the Packers are registering 107 yards per game on the ground.

With so little between the teams this really could go either way. The Packers have home field advantage, but whether they have enough to take down a rampant Patriots team remains to be seen.

Today's game will start at 4.25 p.m. EDT and can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
