PC gamers will have to wait a little longer before they get the chance to play the new version of the open world racing game, "Need for Speed."

On the game's official website, Ghost Games revealed that they have decided to move the release date of the game's PC version to spring 2016 in order to accommodate the fans' request to unlock the frame rate of the game. This decision stemmed from the numerous feedback and requests the game developer received from various social media users.

The statement posted on NeedForSpeed.com reads:

This decision on PC gives us the necessary development time to increase the visuals that we can deliver on PC. We will also include content updates that will have been released on console up to that time, making them available to all PC players from day one."

Ghost Games said that they will continue developing the game to bring the best graphics featured in this edition of "Need for Speed." It will also offer several free content updates and other gameplay difficulties that could provide different rewards and access to further explain the game.

Meanwhile, the game developers also revealed that they will be staging a closed beta for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of the game in the coming weeks to help them figure out any issues in the game's server infrastructure so that the "Need for Speed" console editions come out without a glitch on Nov. 3.

The 21st major installment in the long-running racing video game franchise is reported to be a full reboot of the game's original version. Back in May, game publisher Electronic Arts unveiled a new teaser trailer a day before the official game announcement.

EA and Ghost Games are expected to reveal more details about the release of "Need for Speed" soon.
