'NCIS: LA' season 8 spoilers: Kensi and Deeks not having conventional engagement

NCIS Los Angeles - Deeks and Kensi CBS

Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) are going to take their relationship one step further when "NCIS: Los Angeles" returns for season 8 as they move forward with their engagement. However, their engagement won't be traditional in any sense or form leading many to think Kensi may get pregnant or that they'll get engaged while out in the field.

During the recent San Diego Comic Con, it was further explained by Ruah during an interview with TVLine that her real-life pregnancy will be affecting the direction of the show. She did confirm that while she is going to take maternity leave, she is going to appear in every episode as they have completed pre-season production for season 8.

"Obviously this situation is a catalyst for changing the storyline, and I think it's for the best. These characters go through a lot this season, including a really fantastic engagement and proposal. It's phenomenal. It's a really exciting year for the show; it's a really exciting year for us," the actress explained.

Executive Producer Scott Gemmill also explained that Kensi was not going to put down her badge and simply live the life of a housewife now that she was tying the knot with Deeks. At the same time, the show will also ensure that she gets to showcase her as a nurturing individual which may mean she will be having a child with Deeks in season 8.

A report from IBTimes has shown that the premiere episode of season 8 will be helmed by the season 7 finale director, John Peter Kousakis. Kousakis also revealed via Twitter that Kensi will be starting season 8 in a tight spot, hinting of major changes to come.

Fans speculate that the events that come to pass in the premiere will explain why the actress is not present in particular scenes as Ruah takes her maternity leave.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 premieres this Oct. 2.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
