NBA trade rumors: 76ers ready to give up Jahlil Okafor for Kris Dunn?

As stated in a report from Liberty Ballers, the Philadelphia 76ers are leading the draft as they currently hold the No.1 pick but they are also reportedly looking to trade rookie star Jahlil Okafor. The report points out that Okafor may not be as valuable as the team initially thought but he may still be traded out to get draft pick Kris Dunn.

According to the report, NBA insider Chad Ford recently explained in a segment from 97.5 "The Fanatic" that the 76ers may have initially felt like Okafor could offer them a great trade deal, potentially a No. 3 or No.4 pick. However, after shopping around it may be that the 76ers are not pleased with the options, realizing that Okafor may not be as valuable as previously believed.

Despite this, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports recently posted via Twitter that the 76ers are interested in picking up Providence point guard Kris Dunn from the draft. It is further speculated that the 76ers may trade Okafor in order to get Kris Dunn.

In a report from NJ.com, it is further explained that the 76ers would have to wait and see which team picks up Dunn and then they'll have the opportunity to see if they can trade Okafor for Dunn. However, if Dunn lands on a team that is willing to put more money and effort behind him then Okafor may not be valuable enough to complete a trade deal.

Ford continued to explain that in the long run the 76ers may conclude that Nerlens Noel has a higher value due to his individual achievements in the past season. Noel might take over what Okafor has to offer and Noel might be traded off to the team that picks up Dunn if the 76ers are really interested in picking Dunn up from the draft.

It is further stated that the information should sitll be taken as pure speculation given how close it is now to the draft.
