Musicians and Pastors Explore Worship with Tim Hughes

|PIC1|Popular worship artist Tim Hughes recently has hosted a special 'Bring Your Pastor' event at Worship Central over the weekend.

"As worship leaders and pastors, we want to explore what worship is together, and what's going on with the church," Hughes told Christian Today before the event.

He continued: "Especially since there have been so many walls in our community over worship - songs and styles. We want to be able to pray for our leaders, and encourage them."

Guests at the event included Nicky Gumbel, Mike Pilavachi, Lex Buckley, Mike Lloyd, Simon Dixon and Mark Payne.

The workshop's focus was on developing the worship life of the local church, with a special extra Equip EQ stream in the afternoon for sound engineers.

The next Worship Central event takes place May 19.

The first session of Worship Central kicked off last May and attracted more than 700 worship leaders and trainees.

The day included space for worship and ministry and a range of practical workshops to inspire and challenge led by Tim Hughes, Mike Pilavachi, Al Gordon and Mark Beswick.

Nicky Gumbel, Vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton, commented: "Worship Central is a wonderful resource for anyone looking to develop the worship life of their local church."
