Even with speculation growing by the day, a supposed Kombat Pack 2 remains unconfirmed for "Mortal Kombat X."

As followers of developments regarding the fighting game will know, "Mortal Kombat X" creator Ed Boon has continued to leave room for fans to speculate about whether or not a second Kombat Pack is still to come.

Speculation regarding a second Kombat Pack began back when Boon showed off gameplay footage of Tremor, the most recent character added to "Mortal Kombat X." During the demo showing off Tremor, Boon and the development team behind the game repeatedly made references to the game's season pass as Kombat Pack 1. Prior to the demo, the season pass had only been referred to as Kombat Pack.

The change in wording has fans to speculate that the development team is working on a second Kombat Pack, possibly containing more characters.

Boon himself has done little to suggest that there won't be a Kombat Pack 2, according to Design and Trend. Boon has continued to allow fans to question him regarding the possibility of a second Kombat Pack, and he has mostly responded with silence.

For now, a second Kombat Pack remains unofficial, though if one is confirmed, many expect the new fighters to be the ones already in the game as non-playable characters such as Baraka and Rain among others.

In related news, the success of "Mortal Kombat X" is being touted as one of the biggest reasons for why its publisher, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, was able to show a strong showing, according to Gamespot.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment also pointed out the fact that "Mortal Kombat X" has been the top-selling game of the year thus far.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment also pointed to "Batman: Arkham Knight" as being anothet title that led to them being the number one video game publisher for the year thus far.
