Missy Robertson says everything in her Laminin jewellery line inspired by God

"Duck Dynasty" star Missy Robertson, wife of Jase, has started her own jewellery line called "Laminin by Missy Robertson." Everything about her jewellery line is inspired by God, says Missy, from its name down to its cause.

"The word 'laminin' is a molecular protein that holds everything in our bodies together. And this particular protein, if looked through a microscope is in the exact shape of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ!" Robertson tells The Blaze. "'He is in all things and in Him all things hold together' is a verse taken by Colossians 1:17. This meaning means more than our bodies, but our community of laminin ladies that will be a part of this jewelry line!"

Missy's jewellery line provides jobs for at-risk women from West Monroe, Louisiana. These women are those who are either homeless, victims of sex trafficking, or are simply in need of a boost to turn their lives around. Some of them are even being sold by their own parents to men at truck stops, says Missy, so she's glad that she was able to do her part in helping them.

"For God to say, 'You know what, Missy? I need you to do this with these women'... I was like, 'Hmm, okay. I don't really know where to start,'" she recalls. "I did not see this coming. I have to give complete credit to God."

Missy has tied up with the local organisation called Project 41, which is devoted to fight sex trafficking. The organisation introduces Missy to women in need of employment, and she teaches them how to create beautiful necklaces and bracelets using beads, natural stones, mixed metals, Druzy stones, rosary beads, deer horns, and leather.

"It's a business, but it's also a way to minister to women who need it," Missy says of her jewellery line. "It's been really neat to see some of the transformation of these women."
