Microsoft Surface Mobile news: Specs of rumored device leaked

 Microsoft Store website

The specs of a new Surface Phone coming from Microsoft have reportedly been leaked online.

According to the web site, WMPowerUser, the said device has currently been given the codename "Project Juggernaut Alpha."

If the leaks are to be believed, then the new phone will be equipped with an Intel Atom x3 (SoFIA) 64-bit processor that will be paired up with 4 GB of RAM. The 4 GB of RAM will be present for the more premium versions of the new phone.

Prospective owners will also have a variety of different internal storage sizes to choose from. They can either choose to get the lower-end model that will provide 64 GB of space, or the 128 GB model for those who crave more storage on their mobile devices. Users can also enhance the storage space of their devices by using a MicroSD card, and that will bring it all the way up to 256 GB.

Windows 10 fans will be in luck as the device will reportedly be running on the recently released operating system (OS) right from the start.

The new device from Microsoft will also reportedly feature a 5.5-inch ClearBlack Gorilla Glass 4 screen for users.

It will also have a 21-megapixel rear camera paired up with one coming in at eight megapixels on the front.

The new phone from Microsoft will also be aiming for great durability with its body made up of aluminum and magnesium. One of the other more notable features of the device is that will allow for wireless charging, to provide greater convenience for potential users.

Since these specs are not official, they can still change upon the announcement of the phone itself.

According to Techno Buffalo, although the rumored device currently has the codename "Project Juggernaut Alpha," Microsoft will reportedly go with a different name upon its release. The supposed name will likely be Surface Mobile.

The Surface Mobile will reportedly be released either later this year or during the early part of 2016.
