The updates on Formula One legend Michael Schumacher's health condition since his skiing accident in 2013 have been very limited; but according to reports, the rehabilitation continues, with his family also dealing with the financial challenges of the process.
Schumacher is already in his home in Geneva, Switzerland, and according to Yibada.com and the Master Herald, he is undergoing an extensive rehabilitation program.
The reports also stated that Schumacher is being attended to by 15 doctors and is using medical equipment custom-built for his treatment.
Besides the medical personnel, only family and close friends are allowed to see or visit the former racing champion.
Friends as well as former colleagues and competitors already expressed their wishes for a quick recovery and message of love and support for Schumacher and his family.
Along with everything they are going through, Schumacher's family is also facing a tough test in trying to finance all the medical expenses, which, according to the reports, is worth £100,000 ($150,000) a week.
In a Yibada.com's report posted last Saturday, the cost of Schumacher's medical expenses already reached $15 million.
In a report by the Daily Mail earlier this year, Schumacher's wife Corinna had already sold the racing legend's jet for £25 million and their holiday home.
The Daily Mail added that according to a report from Germany, Corinna decided to sell those luxuries because she believes that her husband will no longer be having the pleasure of enjoying them again because of his condition.
Unfortunately with all the money the family is spending, the progress still remains slow for Schumacher.
Ross Brawn, a former Benetton and Ferrari technical director who had worked with Schumacher in his legendary racing career, said in a report by the Daily Mail back in October that the recovery was indeed slow, but they were praying every day and hoping that Schumacher's condition would improve as time goes on.
