Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander honeymoon update: Couple spotted in Florence, Verona, Bologna

It was not so long ago when reports surfaced that "Assassin's Creed" actor Michael Fassbender and "Ex Machina" star Alicia Vikander got married in a private ceremony in a 5-star luxury resort in Ibiza. Now, the two were spotted in various towns in Italy, believed to be spending some time together on their honeymoon.

The couple was generous with their fans who were asking for selfies, which had proven that the two were still in the European country, spurring rumors that they were enjoying their honeymoon in Italy. Daily Mail published a series of photos showing the suite of the pair in Verona, where a fan had the chance to take a selfie with Fassbender and Vikander.

The multiawarded winning actor and his wife were also seen in Bologna, where the staff and owner of the Osteria del Cappello took a photo with the former. Fassbender and Vikander also granted the request of two fans for a selfie at the same restaurant. Another reportedly saw the couple in the historic town of Florence.

The "Shame" actor and the "Ex Machina" actress reportedly tied the knot on Oct. 14 in a private ceremony, surrounded by family and close friends. "Shame" director Steve McQueen was seen with the two as well. Fassbender and Vikander were also seen at a restaurant sporting wedding rings.

The Sun broke the news early September that Fassbender and Vikander had been planning to wed at Ibiza in October. One source divulged that the two were planning an uber-exclusive ceremony. Although there was news about the wedding, the two had remained quiet. The couple also did not confirm nor deny the supposed engagement rumors prior to the marriage news.

Fassbender and Vikander met on the set of the film "The Light Between Oceans" in 2016, where they were paired. There were already rumors of a budding relationship at the time though there was no confirmation from the two.
