Miami Heat rumors 2015: Two-game winning streak snapped in defeat to Washington Wizards

The Miami Heat finished their four-game home stand last Monday with a 2–2 record after suffering a tough defeat to the Washington Wizards, 114–103.

Leading the way for Miami in the loss was franchise star guard Dwyane Wade who tallied 26 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, and one steal.

Following Wade was point guard Goran Dragić who almost had identical numbers with Wade as he recorded 20 points, three rebounds, nine assists, and one steal.

The Heat's big men also played huge as forward Chris Bosh had 18 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks, while center Hassan Whiteside contributed 14 points, four rebounds, and three rejections.

Late in the game, Bosh was ejected for complaining about a travelling violation that was not called, which allowed the Wizards to establish a lead that helped them win.

The ejection was only the second time in Bosh's career and this is what he had to say about the non-call according to the Associated Press: "It was a travel. No, I didn't watch it. There's no need to watch it. I know what happened. ... You can't travel. It's a travel. You can't go to the rim and catch your own ball when you come down."

Bosh was talking about Wizards guard Bradley Beal who committed a travelling violation which was not called by the officials.

After losing control of the ball and escaping a travelling call, Beal then found teammate Gary Neal for a three-pointer that gave Washington a commanding five-point lead.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) already admitted that what happened late in the fourth quarter of the game was an officiating error.

Miami's defeat to the Wizards gave it a 12–7 record which placed the team second in the Eastern Conference standings.

Next for the Heat is a two-game road trip taking on the Charlotte Hornets today, Wednesday, and the Indiana Pacers on Friday.
