For fans of the "Metal Gear" series, playing the game is just one part of the sequence, and those who are the most hardcore scour the Internet for collectibles and limited edition items to purchase and buy to commemorate a new title's release. However, for the next instalment, items are now available even before the game is launched.

New items for the upcoming "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" title is up for grabs for collectors. First, in the tradition of Nintendo's amiibo figurines, is a collector's item figure based on the main character for the upcoming title. The Venom Snake Splitter action figure, produced by Play Arts, will be released in May this year in Japan, to be made available for 9,800 yen. No details yet if the figure will be available in other countries.

Also, another collectible item cropped up in relation to Snake. Musterbrand is releasing a limited edition replica of the leather jacket Snake is seen wearing on the "Metal Gear Solid V" series, complete all the way to the tiger stripe lining and the Diamond Dogs emblem in the front.

Made of genuine bull nappa leather, the item is touted as an exact replica of the in-game leather jacket that the main character is seen wearing in the first instalment of the series, "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes," and can also be glimpsed at in the trailer for the upcoming "Phantom Pain" game. The item is custom-made with an embossed Diamond Dogs logo on the chest, tiger stripe camouflage lining, and padded diamond details stitched on joint areas.

In other news, Konami has announced that gamers in the Asian region can get all three special editions of the upcoming game. For hardcore fans in countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, and others, they can choose from the English collector's edition set which includes a half-size bionic arm; the Japanese collector's edition with a full-size bionic arm; or the special edition PS4 console bundle designed on the upcoming "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" title.
