It sounds like the multiplayer mode in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has some sort of link with the single-player campaign mode.

Game Informer has reported that BioWare confirmed that there is indeed a connection between the two. The publication says that in single-player mode, players have the option to go to multiplayer mission right away. They also noticed that the mission funds earned in multiplayer can be added to the campaign mode.

Game producer Fabrice Condominas says players have the option to send teams to complete side missions in multiplayer. Of course, they can always do the missions themselves.

And since "Mass Effect 3's" single-player/multiplayer connection wasn't exactly well-received by gamers, BioWare decided to do something different this time. In "Mass Effect: Andromeda," players don't have to play the multiplayer mode if they don't want to because it will not impact their single-player playthrough unlike the previous game.

The multiplayer mode is also going to be more fluid and dynamic this time around, and hopefully, players won't be camping in one spot all game long.

"The first thing everyone will notice is how dynamic it is. Everything is more fluid, fast-paced, there's a lot of action going on. The controls are also more responsive. All of that is on purpose; we really wanted to increase the dynamism and how accessible it is while retaining the depth and going more into layers," Condominas said.

The mode will also feature individual cooldown timers, so say goodbye to the global timer. That means players won't be saving their special powers all the time.

"You can dump everything at once if you want to, or strategize and hold off until the right situation. So you can do a lot more interesting combinations," lead designer Ian Frazier added.

Meanwhile, jetpacks make traveling across the map easier, and blind card packs are back, which means weapons and items are obtained by luck.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is scheduled to hit the shelves in March 2017.
