'Mass Effect: Andromeda' release date, gameplay: Bioware reveals upcoming title's new opening and enemies

Very little has been shown regarding "Mass Effect: Andromeda," the fourth entry in the popular science fiction video game franchise. Despite this, Bioware continues to give subtle hints of what's to come and the company recently revealed a few new details via Twitter.

Lead designer Ian S. Frazier has taken to Twitter to reveal that he is currently reviewing the brand new opening of the game. It is undetermined if this is just the opening cinematics for the game or if this also includes the first mission that the player will go through. Fans speculate that a part of this opening may be showcased during this year's E3 event.

Frazier also revealed via his account that one of the brand new monsters created for the game has passed their reviews, confirming that it will be included in the final product. He states that the monster is a challenging enemy, indicating it may be one of the game's main bosses or an enemy in late-game missions.

He also confirmed that the new monster was difficult to design and implement into the game and that it will be a difficult encounter when players get the chance to finally meet and combat it in the game.

With "Mass Effect: Andromeda" looming on the horizon, with a possible E3 presentation on the way, a report from Attack of the Fanboy also points out that the original trilogy is likely to be included in the Xbox One's Backward Compatibility list.

The report states that a leaked photo reveals that the first game in the trilogy will be included soon, with the other two sequels likely to follow given as part of the celebration for the launch of "Mass Effect: Andromeda."

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is scheduled to be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC by 2017, although no specific release date has yet been announced.
