Manny Pacquiao next fight news 2015: Potential opponent Amir Khan wants bout to be in Qatar

Top contender Amir Khan is also shopping for a fight next year and if he gets a much desired showdown with the Philippines' Manny Pacquiao, he wants the bout to take place in Qatar.

In a report by the Manila Bulletin, Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz revealed Khan's intention of having the fight take place in Qatar and said it is being considered.

Koncz also shared that they are assessing if a bout in Qatar against Khan will favor them financially.

Khan is one of the frontrunners for the fight against Pacquiao, with reports saying that he and his camp already signed documents and are just awaiting for the Filipino's signature to make it all official.

The 28-year-old British contender last fought in May and defeated Chris Algieri via unanimous decision.

Khan already said he would take on Pacquiao, but it seems like the former eight division champion's promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, would like his prized slugger to have a clash against the unbeaten Terence Crawford or Timothy Bradley Jr.

Crawford and Bradley are boxers also under Top Rank Promotions; such is partly why Arum would prefer Pacquiao facing either of the two.

In a report by Boxingjunkie.com, Arum spoke about the possible fight between Pacquiao and Bradley, and seems to be in favor of it.

"I love it, I think it'd be great. You have the Teddy Atlas element throw in, it makes for a real interesting event. Atlas has made him (Bradley) a much better fighter, I think, and that would be a really interesting fight," Arum stated, according to the report.

But the 83-year-old promoter added that it is still Pacquiao's decision whom to face and despite the boxer's political obligations, an answer may be coming soon.

The last time Pacquiao stepped into the ring was in May, when he had an injured shoulder and was dominated by the number one pound-for-pound Floyd Mayweather Jr. for a unanimous decision win and a 49–0 record.
