Capt. Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) and her team will be investigating a gangland shooting in the newest episode of "Major Crimes" Season 4.

The episode, titled "Snitch," will feature the feisty head of the Major Crimes Division and her clique of detectives, including Amy Sykes (Kearran Giovanni), Rusty Beck (Graham Patrick Martin) and Lt. Andy Flynn (Tony Denison) in a probe regarding a complex ruckus in the gangland, TNT reports.

Skyles will be in charge of protecting the identity of an important witness who can be the key to the identification and capture of the killer. Cartermatt says the episode's title pertains to this part of the story where the bystander could be a "snitch," and that terrible things are to happen if it's true.

Episode 5 will also see Rusty trying hard to manage the newly gained information regarding Alice's case. Meanwhile, Lt. Flynn will muster up the courage to take his relationship with Captain Raydor to the next level.

Denison, 65, shared his thoughts about this budding hookup in an interview with TV Line. "I liked it, for a lot of reasons. First of all, I love working with Mary McDonnell — I've been a fan of hers since forever — so the chance to work with her on the show alone is fantastic. And because of that, sometimes Andy's glee is based on the fact that Tony gets to work with Mary!" he said.

The actor also said that the turn of events was wonderful, though he was surprised that at his age, he was also getting a relationship. When probed for more juicy details, he admitted that he still had no idea where the Andy-Sharon storyline would lead.

"It's funny — people ask me that a lot, and I do not know. And the reason why I do not know is because I do not ask. And the reason why I do not ask is because I like to be surprised. So when the episode comes down the pike and there's something in there, I go, 'Oh wow, that's cool,'' he said.

"Major Crimes" Season 4 Episode 5 airs at 9 p.m. July 6 on TNT.
