Madonna shocked audiences during a recent concert in Sydney, Australia when she pulled down a 17-year-old girl's top, therefore exposing her breast to a crowd of thousands. But instead of getting upset about the situation, the young girl even thanked the singer and revelled in the attention.
Madonna asked teenager Josephine Georgiou to come on stage and dance with her on Thursday, reported Life Site News. The 57-year-old singer then confessed to being sexually attracted to the young girl. "She's the kind of girl that you just want to slap on the [expletive]," Madonna said on stage.
After tugging down the girl's strapless top and exposing her breast and nipple, Madonna teasingly told the girl to "do the same to me if you like."
What was even more shocking was how the young girl's mother Toni Georgiou reacted to the incident. She wrote on her social media account: "Madonna just spanked my daughter. So proud."
As for Josephine, she defended Madonna's actions, saying the singer had "no bad intentions," and that she was not embarrassed in the least. "If anything it was a bonding moment with Madonna," she said.
"Seriously, why would I sue Madonna for the best moment of my life?" Josephine asked. "She was calling me a Victoria's Secret model the whole time I was on stage, which is so flattering."
However, Emily Brown, director of pro-life youth organisation ALL Life Defenders, sees the situation as wrong. "The media, and stars like Madonna or Beyoncé, push the message that the more sexy or sexual women are, the more 'empowered' they are as confident women," she said, adding that pop culture is diminishing "the self-worth and value that all young women have as beautiful and intricate human beings, children of God."
"It's time to take back true 'empowerment'!" she added. That means "embracing the unique, beautiful, and intelligent self that God designed all women to be."
