The first official patch for "Madden NFL 16" has been released, and it is focused heavily on fixing the game's Connected Franchise mode.
Apparently, the problems concerning the game's Connected Franchise mode were so bad that the game's developer, EA Tiburon, had advised fans not to start playing it until release of the patch, Gamespot reported.
Now that the patch is available, EA outlines what specific problems it has addressed.
First off, the patch has addressed issues that led to some teams being able to sign elite-level free agents to contracts seemingly way below what they should be getting. Another free agent-related fix involves addressing the problem that led to some players disappearing from the free agent pool for no apparent reason.
The new patch for "Madden NFL 16" has also fixed the issue on some pocket quarterbacks simply making way too many rushing attempts because of simulations being done in the game. An issue that also led to some players' confidence levels going over 100 has also been remedied.
Tweaks have also been made to the rookies and offensive linemen in Connected Franchise mode.
Gameplay fixes has also come courtesy of the new patch for "Madden NFL 16."
For instance AI defensive players will no longer be randomly hit with encroachment penalties. The new patch has also fixed issues related to receivers that were called down by contact despite no defender touching them. Problems with quarterback locomotion wraps have also been addressed with the new patch for "Madden NFL 16."
The patch also works on tweaking some minor issues related to the game's commentary and even in "Madden Ultimate Team" mode. It also includes the usual round of other bug fixes and tweaks common to these updates.
The patch for "Madden NFL 16" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
No word yet on when the patch might be made available for last generation consoles and personal computers (PCs).
