It will be a historic night at the TD Garden on Wednesday when Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant plays his last game versus the Boston Celtics on the road. Despite bleeding purple and gold, the future Hall of Famer admitted that green is his favorite color.

Following their fourth consecutive defeat suffered to the Charlotte Hornets last Monday, Bryant revealed that green, which is the trademark color of the Celtics, is the color he likes the most.

"It's actually my favorite color. I don't have green clothes. It's tough to pull that off," Bryant said, according to ESPN

"[Former Lakers guard] Jerry [West] won't even wear green drawers. He and I have talked about this before. He's just allergic to green. It's been my favorite color forever. I'm fine with green," he added.

The 37-year-old basketball star then also stated," I've always loved it. It's a little weird, isn't it?"

The rivalry between the Lakers and the Celtics is one of the greatest in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and it was again ignited in the 2008 and 2010 NBA Finals, with Bryant being one of the most crucial players of that revival.

In the 2008 Finals, Bryant and the Lakers were ousted in Game 6 and lost as the Celtics headlined by the trio of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett captured the franchise's 17th title.

Following that season, Bryant helped the Lakers again reach the Finals and won in 2009 versus the Orlando Magic.

But in the 2010 Finals, it was a rematch between the Lakers and the Celtics, this time Bryant despite struggling led his team to another championship beating Boston in seven games for the 16th title of the franchise.

According to Bryant, the 2010 championship was the "most satisfying" of all his five championships since they did not know how they would win it, but they just kept on playing until they had a chance, also crediting the Celtics' defense which gave him a hard time.
