Leona's 'Footprints in the Sand' soars in charts

|PIC1|'Footprints in the Sand', one of the tracks on the new double sided single released last week by X Factor winner Leona Lewis, soared to number 2 in the singles charts this week.

The song has been inspired by the popular Christian poem of the same name attributed to Mary Stevenson which testifies the way in which the Lord carries us in our times of trial and hardships.

Lewis' track has been adopted as the official song for Sports Relief, a major charitable endeavour which harnesses the power and passion of sport to change lives for the better. This year, everyone in the UK is being challenged to raise money for vulnerable people in the UK and around the world by getting involved in some kind of sporting activity and having fun.

A special website has been set up so that people inspired by the 'Footprints in the Sand' single can share their stories of people and beliefs that sustained them during times of crisis and struggle.

If you want to share your story or just see how others have been touched go to www.yougivemestrength.com The website also features the video of the Leona Lewis single.
