Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro vs Surface Pro 4 rumored specs comparison: Early hybrid showdown

There is not much detail as far as the existence of a new-fangled Surface Pro is concerned. Nevertheless, one may think that the Surface Pro 4 will put up a good fight or perhaps an epic battle with the dancing hybrid, Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro.

The latest of Microsoft's hybrid collection alone is grand and is doing very well in the business field. The Surface Pro 3 is vastly sought after that even the U.S. government is putting in a big chunk of budget to make use of it in full-scale. Microsoft also boasts the dominance of the machine over its competitors, attracting titanic companies like Coca Cola, BMW, Louis Vuitton, the Cincinnati Country Day School and the University of Pittsburg Medical Center. This could only mean that the Surface Pro line-up could only get better.

Word on the street is that most of Surface Pro 3's specs will be carried over to its still-unconfirmed successor. But if there's anything to be left behind, it will be the screen size. The Surface Pro 4 will most likely be unique in size, as it is speculated to get a bigger screen that measures 13 inches or even 15 inches. This is not an issue with Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, since it already has a 13-inch display. The 15-inch screen possibility is a major game changer though. Meanwhile, the Surface Pro 3 generates a 2160 x 1440 screen resolution. Users would like to think that this will be upped when Surface Pro 4 comes as the Yoga 3 Pro already boasts a Quad HD 3200 x 1800 display. The Yoga 3 Pro weighs 2.62 pounds. With an increase in size, Surface Pro 4 haul the same weight.

The Surface Pro 4 is speculated to run Windows 10. Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro will be able to work on that as well. It is sure that upon the advent of the latest operating system, it will get a taste of it shortly. The Lenovo hybrid, however, should be threatened about battery life. As advertised by Lenovo, it allows up to 7.2 hours of usage. The Surface Pro 3 already tops it with a promise of a 9-hour-long life. Even if Surface Pro 4 will keep it that way or even revamp it further (bet on the latter), it already owns this area.  Lenovo Yoga Pro 3 supports a 512 storage capacity and an 8 GB RAM. Surface Pro 3 has 64 GB or 128 GB storage with 4 GB RAM, and 256 GB or 512 GB storage with 8 GB RAM. When Microsoft decides to do this department up for Surface Pro 4, Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro will surely be beaten.

The Lenovo fusion and the Surface Pro 3 have decent speakers and front-facing cameras. But the latter has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. The Surface Pro 4 will likely keep this, so as to show more borders on a tablet and a laptop.  Lastly, the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is powered by an Intel Core M processor, which promises powerful performance. Surface Pro 4 should be on par with this, too, since its predecessor houses a 4th generation Intel Core processor family (i3, i5, i7) already.

The main thing here is that Surface Pro 4 is another potential feat, which is why it garners so much interest. Users and tech enthusiasts hope for a 2015 release at the earliest of the Surface Pro 4.
