There has been a lot of talk about The CW's latest superhero series, "Legends of Tomorrow." But actions speak louder than words and the network has released a new promo, just a month before the show premieres.

"Legends of Tomorrow" will be rolling out to the small screen on Jan. 21 and promotion is already being amped up for it. A new promo video had been released by the official "Legends of Tomorrow" Twitter account. Previous videos have provided a glimpse of a few scenes in the show, but the latest one is still worth seeing.

The new DC Entertainment television series may be set in the Arrowverse, the same universe where "Arrow" and "The Flash" exist, but it sets apart from the two previous shows in that it's not all about heroes. Additionally, these 'heroes' are not the typical good-natured ones who feel the need to correct every wrong deed in the world.

"Legends of Tomorrow" brings about a group of heroes and misfits that time traveller Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) rounded up to stop a destructive future that he already foresaw. As it is a daunting task, it seems that these individuals have apprehensions about placing the future of the world in their hands, as evident in the recent promo material released.

The video runs for a minute and starts by laying the ground for Rip Hunter's emergency. Viewers get a glimpse of Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), talking about why he's out to wage a war.

"We all know history isn't written with pens but bullets. War is God's way of moving the human race forward," says the show's main supervillain.

It then cuts to Rip Hunter explaining the mission to his group of eight: Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jax Jackson (Franz Dameh), the pair that makes up Firestorm, Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom (Brandon Routh), Sara Lance a.k.a. White Canary (Caity Lotz), Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Mick Rory a.k.a. Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Kendra Saunders a.k.a. Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), and Carter Hall a.k.a. Hawkman (Falk Hentschel).

Here's where some of these individuals show their reservations. Captain Cold steps up and tells Rip, "Hero ain't in on my resume." But the time traveller quickly corrects him and says,"Where I'm from, you aren't just considered heroes. You're legends."

Watch the rest of the trailer below. "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1 premieres on The CW on Jan. 21, 2016.
