People who will be buying "Just Cause 3" for the Xbox One will also be getting "Just Cause 2."

The news of the deal was announced by Microsoft during their time at Gamescom.

As people may well remember, "Just Cause 2" was a game that could originally be played on the Xbox 360, so it begs the question of how exactly is the deal beneficial to the folks who will be purchasing "Just Cause 3."

As people may also remember, Microsoft announced earlier in the year that they would be making certain titles backwards compatible for the Xbox One. This means that some titles that could previously only be played on the Xbox 360 can now also be played on the Xbox One because of the all-new feature.

It is worth noting that the backwards compatibility feature for the Xbox One will not be available until November, according to Gamespot.

Upon being made available for the Xbox One, "Just Cause 2" will join the official list of other games that have been designated to receive backwards compatibility.

The confirmed list so far includes the entries in the "Gears of War" franchise, "Mass Effect," and also "N+," among a whole host of other titles, according to IGN.

Aside from those confirmed games, other titles also being rumored to receive backwards compatibility include "Bayonetta," "Borderlands," "Dark Souls," and more big name games from years past.

This is not the first time Microsoft has offered a new title bundled together with a game for the Xbox 360, as people who will pre-order "Fallout 4" for Xbox One will also receive a backwards compatible "Fallout 3."

In related news, Microsoft also took the time to release a new trailer named "Burn It" for "Just Cause 3" during Gamescom.

The trailer shows off some of the action players can expect from the game as well as samples of the lush jungle terrain gamers can explore in "Just Cause 3."

"Just Cause 3" will be released on Dec. 1.
