Duggar family news update: Josh Duggar heads to Tennessee mini-golf but other families reportedly 'nervous'

After Josh Duggar from "19 Kids and Counting" finished his stint in the faith-based rehab facility Reformers Unanimous, it was only a matter of time before he made public appearances with his family once again.

On April 29, Josh paid a visit to Old MacDonald's Farm mini-golf course in Sevierville, Tennessee, reports InTouch Weekly. The outing was supposed to be a happy and relaxing occasion, but it proved to be anything but because Josh's previous scandals couldn't seem to leave him just yet.

"They seemed a bit nervous," an eyewitness says of Josh and his family.

Josh was accompanied by his dad Jim Bob and two young boys. The small group seemed to be enjoying themselves. However, things got awkward when other visitors finally identified them.

"Three families with young girls were unhappy Josh was so close to them and left the golf course when they saw him and Jim Bob," the eyewitness said. "The parents were not comfortable. The staff tried to be as polite as possible to the angry parents, but it seemed there was little they could do to stop Josh from being a customer."

The eyewitness said he was unsure whether or not Jim Bob and his son were aware of the friction Josh was causing at the mini-golf course.

As to what the Duggars were doing in Tennessee, an insider revealed that they were in the state to attend the homeschool graduation of "Bringing Up Bates" stars Carlin and Trace Bates.

Previously, Josh and his wife Anna were spotted shopping at Sam's Furniture in Springdale, Arkansas with Anna's sister Priscilla Waller and her husband David, according to Entertainment Tonight. "I don't think they were shopping for themselves," a source said.

The shopping trip was comparatively less stressful than Josh's mini-golf appearance. However, the source did say that "there is [still] a lot of hate regarding the family."

"After all that has happened, this isn't the same family in many people's eyes," the source said.
