A touching photo posted to Erin Kelly's Instagram account Sunday shows her parents, NFL legend Jim Kelly and wife Jill, sharing a Mother's Day dance in a hospital room.

Erin, 19, captioned the photo: "Daddy just wanted to dance with his bride on Mother's Day #prayersforjk."

The former Bills star returned to Buffalo on April 19 after receiving treatment in New York City for squamous cell carcinoma of the upper jaw bone. His brother Dan said that he will continue chemotherapy and radiation treatments in western New York.

Kelly has undergone a series of procedures since announcing his diagnosis last year. The former quarterback had the left side of his jaw and teeth on the left side of his mouth removed in June 2013, and had surgery to relieve jaw pain in March 2014.

He currently has several microscopic tumors that cannot be removed surgically. His doctor in New York City told the New York Post that the cancer is "very treatable and potentially curable."

Kelly has stated that being a Christian has enabled him to endure his tribulations.

"There is no way I'd be here without my faith," he said in a March interview.

"It's been such a roller coaster. So many things. The Super Bowl losses, the fabulous career, my son born sick, making the Hall of Fame, my son dying, two plates and 10 screws in my back after major surgery, one plate and six screws in my neck after another surgery, a double hernia, the cancer, surgery on my jaw, the cancer coming back, now what I'm facing," Kelly told Sports Illustrated's Monday Morning Quarterback.

The former quarterback spent 11 seasons with the Bills and led them to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances in the early 1990s, only to lose them all. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.

Kelly and his wife will celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary on May 16.
