Jesus Christ is the only one people can bank on, says NBA superstar LeBron James

When NBA superstar LeBron James was asked about the possible return of injured players Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert to the lineup of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the basketball player answered that nothing in life is certain except for Jesus Christ.

"It's only one guy in the world, ever, where everything will be all right when he comes back, and that's Jesus Christ. Other than that, you can't bank on nobody being okay," he told Cleveland.com.

James noted that the two players' involvement in the team is a great boost for their chances of winning. When Irving appeared during practice, James considered him to be "like a breath of fresh air."

Irving has the ability to score 21.7 points per game while Shumpert is a whiz when it comes to defending the opponent's best guard or wing.

"We just, we do not play a 48-minute game," James continued. "It's either one or two guys that break down and it breaks the whole team down. Until we find the right lineup, the right matchup, that guys are gonna play 48 minutes, or, when they're on the floor they play their minutes the right way, then we won't have stretches where we continue to let guys get to the rim or make shots."

James scored a season-high-tying 37 points in a recent game, but this was still not enough to save the Cavs from a 114-108 overtime loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

James took matters in his own hands in the fourth quarter scoring 23 points in that period, 21 after Cleveland fell behind by 94-81 with 6:52 to go.

When asked why he plowed through with the game, James simply answered, "Who else was gonna' do it?"

For the next game, James just hopes to do better, with or without Irving and Shumpert. "We get a stop, we win the ball game," he said.
