Jeremy Lin says Hornets experience 'a great fit' for him

After his unsuccessful stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, NBA point guard Jeremy Lin has said that he is comfortable with his role in the Charlotte Hornets as the team climbs up the Eastern Conference team standings.

Despite their disappointing loss to the Atlanta Hawks last Sunday, Lin stepped up to save the team from greater heartbreak with his late-game performance.

Lin may have lost the hype that once propelled the global phenomenon dubbed as "Linsanity" during his stint with the New York Knicks back in 2012, but the 27-year-old Taiwanese-American is still believed to have what it takes to help improve the team's status.

"For me, just staying patient and trusting God's plan for me and my career, has been crucial," Lin claimed. "And you just have to stay faithful, stay the course. And yes, I'm hoping this is it."

"It's been a great fit for me," he said about his place in the Hornets.

Lin's career took a backslide when he moved from the Knicks to the Houston Rockets and eventually to the Lakers, since he was mostly kept on the benches on both teams. But this time, Lin's fans are expecting to see him on the court more often because of his role as a reserve combo guard for the team.

The 6'3" point guard told NBA.com that he feels comfortable with the Hornets, especially since he finds great rapport with coach Steve Clifford and the rest of the team's coaching staff.

"The good thing for him is he came in here with the attitude that he's doing to whatever it takes to help us win," Hornets point guard Kemba Walker recently told NBA.com about his thoughts on Lin's role in the team. "All that other stuff is in the past and we've talked about it. We know how good of a player he is. He's really important to this team and he's a good dude, good to have around."

Lin and the Hornets will attempt to snatch their first win on Tuesday night, Nov. 3, as they face the Chicago Bulls at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
