Rafael (Justin Baldoni) will have to face the fact that Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is still in love with Michael (Brett Dier) when the hit comedy series "Jane the Virgin" returns after its extended winter break.

During the midseason finale, Jane finally learned that Rafael set up her ex-fiancé and got him fired from his job. Their bickering got so bad her baby's daddy threatened to fight for custody over Mateo. Totally pissed, Jane asked her classmate, Wesley Masters (Brian Jordan Alvarez), to investigate Rafael and dig up something that she could use to blackmail him with. Unfortunately for her, they ended up not finding anything.

To finally end their feud, the pair agreed to attend couples therapy. A woman suggested they see a shrink so that they could talk things out. The whole thing ended on a good note, with Jane and Rafael reconciling. The truth that Jane is still not over Michael, however, will be a little hard for Rafael to take in. The fact that she still cares for the cop hurts him and the upcoming episode is bound to show that.

Meanwhile, the promo for "Chapter Thirty-One" shows Rogelio (Jaime Camil) hearing a shocking revelation about his father. His mom, Liliana (Rita Moreno), has come to see Mateo. When Jane asks her how she has been, the older woman's answer is completely unexpected. She claims that Rogelio's father is gay and that he left her for a man.

While Jane looks slightly shocked, Rogelio is completely stunned by the news. During the family dinner, it is obvious that he cannot get over the fact that his dad is gay. As he says grace for the food, he makes mention of the love between men, which is a clear allusion to his father's sexual preference.

"Jane the Virgin" will return on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
