"Avengers" fans will be excited to hear that there would be an Iron Man-themed Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
Samsung is reportedly partnering with Marvel Studios to promote the newest film, "Avengers: Age of Ultron." In leaked images shown first on Korea-based publication Korea Times and picked up by Express UK, a Galaxy S6 and an S6 Edge were given the "Avengers" treatment, specifically an Iron Man theme.
Sporting a Hotwheels red with gold trim on the side, the renders look amazingly good and are fit to be partnered with the Mark suits of Iron Man.
Meanwhile, according to head of marketing for Samsung Mobile Lee Young-hee, the upcoming Iron Man phones will come out in the following weeks.
Speaking with Korea Times at the Seoul premiere of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Young-hee said, "The colour of the new Iron Man phones will be red."
Pressed for details about when the phones will be launchedd, she continued, "We will decide on other details soon after discussions with Marvel Studio. It will be released either at the end of May or early June."
In terms of performance, the phones will keep the stock specs of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge versions. For the design, however, users will have much to look forward to, as the phones are reported to be bundled with custom wallpapers, lock screens, and icons, aside from the Iron Man design colors. The Iron Man S6 and S6 Edge will be released as a limited edition item, and Samsung expects that hardcore fans and Marvel collectors alike will be taking an interest in the smartphones.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is the second "Avengers" movie, with the original being the third highest-grossing film of all time when it was released in 2012. Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. in the two films and three independent "Iron Man" movies, is one of the franchise's main protagonists.
