Apple has now started work on its newest line of iPhones set to feature the company's Force Touch technology.
Though still unofficial, the new models are expected to be known as the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
What could potentially set the new models apart from their predecessors will be the new Force Touch technology they could be set to prominently feature.
For those who may be unfamiliar with the Force Touch feature, it is the same technology Apple showcased with their Apple Watch. The Force Touch feature's main function is to be able to provide users with a different array of options depending on how much force they apply to their device whenever they are pressing it.
Apple has reportedly been working on integrating Force Touch technology into their smartphones for two years, according to NDTV.
As for the other aspects of the new iPhone models, the iPhone 6s is expected to have at a display measuring at around 4.7 inches in size with the iPhone 6s Plus' coming in at 5.5 inches. The total measurements of the new models are also expected to be slightly different from the older models with an additional 0.15 mm of length and 0.2 mm of thickness added on.
Both new models are also set to feature additional RAM together with an improved 12-megapixel rear camera as opposed to the older 8-megapixel model.
The new iPhones are also expected to feature the same design as the older models.
With more specifics coming out about the rumored iPhone models, the company is expected to start production very soon. According to Bloomberg, Apple could begin volume manufacturing of the new models as soon as July, but delays could be coming in the future with possible complications coming from efforts to integrate the Force Touch technology.
News of Apple possibly starting working on their new iPhones will come as a pleasant development to the company's suppliers such as Foxconn Technology Group.
