Apple may be working towards unveiling their highly anticipated iPhone 7 sometime in September.
As for a specific date, Tech Radar reported that Apple fans may be able to expect the newest iPhone model to be unveiled on Sept. 25, although that information came from a leaked Vodafone email.
Of course, even though the Sept. 25 release date is hardly set in stone, many Apple fans still expect the company to reveal something during that time, given the track record they have established of making headlines in the tech industry whenever it's that time of the year.
Making the idea of a new iPhone being released in September even more probable are the latest rumors suggesting that Apple is planning to hold a big event during the month as they have done so in years past. The supposed event to be held by Apple will reportedly take place on Sept. 9, according to Buzzfeed.
Aside from the uncertainty around the release date, there is also some confusion as to what the name of the new model that is set to be released will actually be. Although some are saying that it will be the iPhone 7, more people are currently speculating that the new model will likely be labeled as the iPhone 6s Plus, according to The Verge.
What most tech industry insiders do agree on is the idea that whether the new model will be named the iPhone 7 or the iPhone 6s Plus, it will most likely come equipped with the Force Touch feature that was also present in the Apple Watch.
Apple is also expected to reveal other products in September, with two more candidates being a new iPad model and an all new Apple TV as well.
Apple has yet to officially confirm the release date of any new iPhone model.
