iPhone 6S release rumors: Newest smartphone coming out in September

 Apple

More and more details online are pointing to September as the time when Apple fans will finally get their first look at the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus.

As of now, the date being pointed to as the likely spot on the calendar that Apple will deem as the appropriate time is increasingly looking like Sept. 18.

Leaks online are pointing to the iPhone 6S being released in countries such as Germany, Japan, and the UK on that very date; and if that holds true, then that would most probably also be the exact release date for the device in the United States. This is because Apple has routinely released their new devices in those countries at the same time as they do in the United States, according to Forbes.

Although the odds on favorite as the target release date for both the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus is currently being placed at Sept. 18, the company will reportedly be announcing the new devices more than a week earlier on Sept. 9.

As for what people can expect from the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, Newsweek reported that it will likely have some interesting new features along with some welcome upgrades.

One of the more persistent rumors regarding the iPhone 6S and the 6S Plus is that the new devices will have the Force Touch feature. For those who are not familiar with it, Force Touch enables users to try out more options on their phone by simply applying more pressure when they press down on it.

The new iPhone's hardware components are also likely to be significantly upgraded once the new devices are released. This time around, Apple is reportedly increasing the new device's random access memory (RAM) and they will also be working to make the new model sturdier, so as to avoid a repeat of the issue that became known as "Bendgate."
