iPad Mini vs Pro: Apple to drop mini line for full-sized hybrid next year?

Amidst all the hype surrounding the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3, there is excitement building up on the possibility of a mammoth tablet addressed as the iPad Pro. Rumors have been raging regarding the entirely new-fangled machine in the pipeline. It may all seem to be mere wishful thinking, but it is important to note that these set of speculations have their convincing strong points.

The iPad Pro is rumored to be next full-sized feat following Apple's October rollout for its entirely new large-screened smartphones, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. These large handsets are proven to be chartbusters and the soaring sales, as IT Pro speculated, seem to be attributed to the well-received major change in screen size. Apple may want to replicate the success or even top it, as the iPad Pro is said to sport either a 12.2-inch display or a bigger 12.9-inch screen, all integrated with the Retina HD display users demand and love. The thinness will be that of the Apple flagship phones. This hearsay device will then be bordering a PC and tablet, designed to adapt more to the needs of the business section of the market. Tech site iMore suggests that the iPad Pro will get a digitizer for pressure sensitivity, 4K video capture, lasting battery life and pristine colors, plus an Apple-designed keyboard cover.

iPad Mini 3 Apple

Rumors that initiated the existence of such huge device have connecting foundations. According to IT Pro, sales of Apple iPads went nowhere but down over the years, especially knowing that the iPad Mini 3 received a small modification from its predecessor in the form of the Touch ID and a gold variant and nothing more. To add, Gartner Research Director Ranjit Atwal even commented via IT Pro that tablets require no habitual upgrades as users tend to go for hybrids or two-in-one devices.

Furthermore, Gamer Headlines speculate that Apple may just abandon the iPad Mini lineup altogether to majorly venture into the rumored hybrid machine. Pocket Now bets on the same odds, but it also emphasized that the Cupertino company won't have troubles in pulling off two completely differing arrays simultaneously. The Verge, on the other hand, touches more on the iPad, questioning the existence of the tablet itself saying that "it doesn't have a clearly defined reason for its existence" as Apple itself did not put an effort to figure that out. This, too, plainly prompts the same device cut-off as the other sites suggested.

With all these striking statements moving around, Apple will surely be on an awful lot of big talks and brainstorming should they consider releasing the coveted hybrid. Nevertheless, rumors claim an imminent launch, stating that the iPad Pro will finally put in an appearance next year. Apple may have tons of tricks up their sleeves. The iPad Pro may be one but in the interim, the best way to go is to wait.
