Apple has already released the 8.3 version of iOS, with a host of design tweaks and fixes to the operating system. It was finally rolled out after seeding the test build to developers last February and making it available to public beta testers last month.
The new iOS 8.3 is available as an over-the-air download. With the newest version, Apple has also included numerous other updates, such as a 7.2 update for the Apple TV and tweaks for the OS X.
iOS 8.3 includes security patches that reportedly makes the new version tough to crack and jailbreak. It also introduces the wireless CarPlay that connects users' iPhones to a CarPlay system. Google authentication is also upgraded with the support for two-step verification system, along with Apple Pay support for the China UnionPay network.
Under the newest third version of the mobile operating system, the emojis got a lot of attention and improvements. There is an updated emoji picker that groups emojis together in categories with an easy to scroll list interface, emoji skin modifiers for the "person" emojis, and expanded family emoji options. The emojis that resemble general things before like phone, computer, and watch have been updated and now look like the iPhone, iMac, and the Apple Watch. There are also a host of new flag emojis.
Apps also got an overhaul in the new iOS version. The Photos app got changes to its user interface, as well as the Passbook. Also, proprietary assistant Siri can now speak in additional new languages and can make calls using the speakerphone. In the Messages app, users can filter messages from friends and unknown senders.
The release of the new build for iOS has observers wondering when a jailbreak will be available. Unfortunately, no solid details have yet been made on jailbreak developers' efforts to come out with a jailbreak for iOS 8.2, much less a version based on the newest Apple iOS 8.3. Additionally, Apple has been making progress with patching up its newest iOS releases to make it invulnerable to jailbreaking.
