An unbeaten streak this 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season will be on the line when the Carolina Panthers host the Indianapolis Colts at the Bank of America Stadium for Monday Night Football.

After losing in the Divisional Playoffs last season, the Panthers are making a strong statement this 2015 as they are looking to return to the postseason and reach farther this time.

The Panthers are undefeated in their first six games with their most recent success a 27–16 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

In Carolina's win over Philadelphia, the team's offense flourished with quarterback Cam Newton firing on all cylinders.

Newton had 14 completions for 197 yards with one touchdown, also throwing three interceptions, and was sacked once.

But it is not just his passing game which helped the Panthers as he also rushed for a 20-yard touchdown.

According to ESPN, it is the fourth time this season that Newton threw for a touchdown and also rushed for one.

The report added the performance is already the 28th in his NFL career and three more will tie him with league record-holder, Hall of Famer Steve Young.

Another standout performance for the Panthers in the win was from fullback Mike Tolbert who scored two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Colts, who made it to the American Football Conference (AFC) championship game last season, are not in a good form at 3–4 and are coming off back-to-back losses heading to Monday's game.

Indianapolis dropped its past two outings against defending Super Bowl champions new England Patriots (34–27) and the New Orleans Saints (27–21).

Because of the defeats, the Colts need to score an upset against the Panthers to strengthen their playoff hopes this season.

The Colts are currently on the hot seat since reports say they are playing quarterback Andrew Luck despite him suffering from fractured ribs.

Luck is only listed with a shoulder injury. Now, the NFL will be investigating the issue and if Indianapolis appears to have failed including his fractured ribs in the injury report, the team will be in violation of the league's rules.

The game between the Panthers and Colts will be on Nov. 2 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
