In terms of availability, WTVOX reports that the Huawei Watch has been available for pre-orders in the United Kingdom for about £300. As for Samsung's Gear S2, it has recently been reported that the South Korean company intends to unveil more details during the IFA 2015 event next month.

In terms of the specifications, here's the difference between the two new smartwatch devices.

The Huawei Watch sports a 1.4-inch AMOLED display screen with a 400 x 400 pixel resolution. The screen is covered by stainless steel, including sapphire crystal. The Samsung Gear S2, on the other hand, is expected to sport a Super AMOLED display screen with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution. Unlike its predecessor, the Gear S, the Gear S2 comes with a circular design instead of curved edges.

Inside, the Huawei Watch has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB built-in memory storage, and a 300 mAh battery. As for the Gear S2, it is anticipated to pack an Exynos processor, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, and a slightly smaller 250 mAh battery.

While Huawei's new watch is expected to run on the Android Wear operating system (OS), Samsung's Gear S2 will run on the new Tizen OS.

Earlier reports said the Huawei Watch will be available in North American, European, and Asian markets. As for the Samsung's Gear S2, more details will come out by next month.
