It's a head-to-head competition for Apple and Android wearables with the upcoming release of Huawei Watch and it seems that Huawei is stepping up to represent the lines of Android wear.
Huawei announced its watch earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress and the device was already put up for pre-order last week.
The device is said to be available at Best Buy, GetHuawei.com, Google Store, and Amazon and will carry the base price of $349, which is just equal to the price of the cheapest variant of Apple Watch.
The Huawei watch will come in various interesting luxurious styles and finishes; compared to Apple Watch, it looks more like jewelry.
As stated by Mashable's Samantha Murphy Kelly, Huawei Watch doesn't look like a smartwatch, but rather "like something you'd find under a glass display in a high-end shop on Fifth Avenue."
Apple Watch may offer awesome specs and likewise can be said about Huawei Watch, but what sets them apart is the fact that the latter can run on iOS devices and the former is limited to iOS devices only.
Meanwhile, Moto 360 2 joins in the competition as well. It carries some specs similar to Huawei Watch, as detailed in Gizmag.
For instance, both Android wearables can leave the watch display on all the time. Both also have stainless steel cases and offer two options of bands: stainless steel and leather.
Few major differences between the two include the display type (AMOLED vs. IPS) and device chargers, with Huawei using magnetic chargers and Moto 360 2 employing wireless charging.
It is also important to note that Huawei has a sharper display compared to that of Moto 360 2.
It appears that Huawei is indeed aiming to become a much loved Android wear when it arrives.
Apple seems to be facing several competition with these two Android wearables, and what makes the latter devices have more edge is the fact that they can be used with iOS devices.
It's like if one owns an iPhone and wants a wearable device, there are more options than just going for the Apple Watch — unless of course, that person is a die-hard Apple fanatic.
