In addition, Techno Buffalo reports that the smartwatch recently appeared on the Chinese company's official U.S. website. The report adds that the website did not say much except that the new smartwatch is just "right around the corner."

According to Phone Arena, the Huawei Watch is also expected to be launched in international markets such as Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and some countries in Europe. The report by Phone Arena adds that the new smartwatch has already been available for pre-orders for slightly less than US$400 at several retailers around the world.

In terms of the specifications and features, the Huawei Watch sports a 1.4-inch AMOLED display screen with a 400 x 400 pixel resolution, covered by a stainless steel. As for the design, the watch features a round screen along with sapphire crystal.

Under the hood, the Huawei Watch packs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 processor, a 512MB RAM, and up to 4GB built-in memory storage. It is powered by a 300 mAh battery and supports Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11n connectivity.

The new watch also comes with a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and heart rate monitoring feature, among others.  For the operating system (OS), the Huawei Watch works running on Google's Android Wear OS.
