More revelations about the Court of Owls surface in the upcoming episode of FOX's crime drama "Gotham" season 3.

Titled "Heroes Rise: These Delicate and Dark Obsessions," tonight's episode will mark the directorial debut of lead star Ben McKenzie. According to the official synopsis, the Court of Owls comes up with a new plan concerning the future of Gotham City. While Jim (McKenzie) digs up further information about his father and uncle's past, he learns about new details that tie him back to the underground organization. Elsewhere, Bruce (David Mazouz) finally wakes up in the temple and discovers what the Shaman (Raymond J. Barry) has wished for him.

The New York Times reports that McKenzie has wanted to direct a TV show since he starred on TNT's "Southland." Unfortunately, the show was cancelled before he had the chance to sit on the director's chair. Speaking with the publication, the actor said his episode was a bit quieter than the previous ones.

"The only constructive criticism I got was that it was 'still,'" he stated. "Which is one of the things I like."

Since "Gotham" debuted in 2014, its viewership has slipped lower every season. Still, the FOX series continues to do well with an average of 5 million viewers from seven-day ratings. Season 3 is slowly inching closer to its finale, but FOX has yet to announce whether there will be a fourth season.

In other related news, the character of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie from "Suicide Squad") might be heading to the series soon. Executive producer John Stephens recently teased that Harley will appear in season 3 and a new photo from the show proves that. The promo still shows Barbara (Erin Richards) wearing a fur coat with colors similar to the costume of DC's most recent incarnation of Harley.

The third season of "Gotham" airs every Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
