The perfect season continues for the Golden State Warriors as they extended their streak to 20–0, dominating the Charlotte Hornets on the road Wednesday, 116–99.

Starring in the win was none other than reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) point guard Stephen Curry whose father, Dell, who played for the Hornets and was the franchise's leading scorer, was honored during halftime and was given key to the city.

Curry torched the Hornets with his hot shooting, going 14-of-18 from the field which included eight-of-11 from three-point country to score 40 points (28 in the third quarter) in just three quarters.

Because of Golden State's huge lead heading to the final frame, the Warriors decided to sit out Curry for the entire fourth quarter.

Along with his spectacular shooting and scoring performance, Curry also had three rebounds and five assists in 31 minutes of action.

Following the win, the 27-year-old franchise star spoke about his father, the game, and the victory.

"It was a cool atmosphere to play in, especially on top of my dad's ceremony. It was nice to be out there at halftime and hear his speech and stand with my mom, my sister, my aunts and my grandma," Curry said, according to the Associated Press.

"It was a good night. I can't ask for more. To play like I did and get the win was special," he added.

Following Curry in scoring was his Splash Brother, guard Klay Thompson who had 21 points, with three rebounds, one steal, and one block.

Forward Draymond Green, who is starting to get recognition because of his hustle and effort, only had four points in the win, but tallied 11 rebounds, nine assists, and three blocks.

The Warriors still leads the Western Conference and the National Basketball Association (NBA) with their 20–0 record and will continue the seven-game road trip this Saturday taking on the Toronto Raptors.
