Golden State Warriors NBA 2015 news: Champions stay undefeated with 10th straight win against Minnesota Timberwolves

History is being made this 2015–16 National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season as the defending champions Golden State Warriors are on a 10–0 start following Thursday's 129–116 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 10-game winning streak to open the year is a first in franchise history for the Warriors who are proving to be unstoppable so far this season.

Again leading the charge for the Dubs is reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) Stephen Curry who had another big offensive night scoring 46 points, shooting 15 of 25 from the field, including eight of 13 from the three-point area.

Along with his splendid scoring, the 27-year-old basketball star also provided five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Curry's averages this season are simply astounding with 33.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2.6 steals in 34.3 minutes played per contest.

Helping him in the win over Minnesota was defensive specialist Draymond Green who recorded a double-double performance with 23 points and 12 assists, also tallying eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

Along with great performances from Curry and Green, all of Golden State's starters again scored in double-digits in Thursday's victory.

Guard Klay Thompson, forward Harrison Barnes, and center Festus Ezeli recorded 15, 14, and 10 points, respectively, to help the Dubs.

Up next for the Warriors will be a two-game home stand, with the Brooklyn Nets having the first try at ending the streak when the champs return to the Oracle Arena.

Following the Nets will be one of the Eastern Conference's thriving teams, the Toronto Raptors.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves were again led by budding star Andrew Wiggins who had 19 points, two rebounds, and five assists.

Helping Wiggins was another emerging youngster in 2015 no. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns who had a double-double 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite the Timberwolves' 4–4 record, they are showing major improvement from last season when they finished with only 16 wins.

Minnesota will hit the road for its next game taking on the returning Paul George and the Indiana Pacers today, Friday.
