God's Not Dead producer Russell Wolfe recently underwent a stem cell treatment as he continues to bravely fight ALS, also known as motor neuron or Lou Gehrig's disease.

The managing partner for Pure Flix has been battling ALS for over a year now and he has maintained a brave stance against the disease, astounding even his doctors, family, and friends.

"I was so calm in reaction to the news," Wolfe told Movie Guide.

"I've been through a lot of storms in my life, and God has certainly delivered me from each one.

"When I've had things that have happened that are bad, at the time, they might have seemed disastrous, but God has turned each and every one of them around so that in retrospect, I can look back at those, and I'm thankful that they happened, and I don't feel any different about this.

"So when he gave me the news, I just looked at it as an opportunity to stand in my faith, and now we'll just see God use this for his Glory."

Wolfe even used his sickness to inspire and encourage others. Last August, when social media was bombarded with videos of politicians and celebrities doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, he was one of those who participated in the awareness raising campaign.

According to Movie Guide, Wolfe's Ice Bucket Challenge video was shared over 34,000 times with over 3,000 comments cheering him on and offering prayers and support within just a week of its posting.

Wolfe revealed that his faith is crucial in how he continues to live in the face of such a dibilitating illness.

"One thing that speaks specifically to me is the outpouring of people and their prayers. I'm so grateful for that. I'm actually taken back by how much it was shared, and how many people have included me in their prayers," he admitted.

The film producer doesn't blame anybody for his sickness. Instead, he said that ALS is just one of the bad things that happen to good people "in a fallen word." He also spoke of his faith that God can take away the bad things so he urged people to "keep your faith."
