While people were busy debating about turning Elsa into a lesbian princess in "Frozen 2" by giving her a girlfriend, Disney and Pixar might have just snuck a lesbian couple in the animated film "Finding Dory," which is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 hit "Finding Nemo."

When the new trailer for "Finding Dory" was released, people zeroed in on what appeared to be a lesbian couple caring for a baby.

In the trailer, Tank the Octopus poses as a baby in a carriage who drops his sippy cup. One of the two women walking in front of the stroller picks up the cup and says, "Poor baby, let me get that for you." When they see an octopus instead of a baby, both women get startled while Tank continues to pretend being a baby.

Social media went wild over the news, with some movie fans lauding Pixar and Disney for their bold move. "'Finding Dory' has a lesbian couple. Pixar has gayness. Yes yes yes. I am about to start crying so hard," a passionate fan wrote on Twitter.

Another added that Disney and Pixar just made "a big step towards acceptance."

Others fans mistakenly thought that Disney and Pixar created a lesbian fish couple.

"I genuinely thought there was a controversy of lesbian fish and I almost rolled my eyes into another dimension," a netizen wrote. "I mean to be clear, I'm still rolling my eyes into another dimension that people are mad about the possibility of gay moms in it. I saw all these passionate tweets about representation and I was like....Y'all, lesbian fish moms aren't exactly representation."

The trailer irked some fans who threatened to boycott the film because of its inclusion of a lesbian couple.

Some fans pointed out that talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, the "queen of lesbians," is providing the voice to the lead character Dory.

"Finding Dory" will be released on June 17, 2016.
