Fans are disappointed after the much-awaited release of "Final Fantasy XV" has been delayed once again. However, game director Hajime Tabata has spoken up about the reason behind it.

In an interview with IGN at Gamescom 2016, the director admitted that the game can be launched with its original release date, but one issue has prevented them from doing so: a massive Day One patch. He said that he considered that the extra updates can be put into this patch, but he knows that a lot of people out there prefer playing offline, whether it is because they choose to or simply do not have access to stable internet. As such, he is glad that he made this decision instead.

Tabata further explains that it will take roughly about a month for them to get all of the related data from the Day One patch and make it into a game disc. It does not end there, as they will need another month for polishing the completed game in such a way that it will be seamless and functional. As such, the aforementioned people will not be able to have a full game experience if they pushed through with the original plan.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, they further explain that those two months is basically dedicated to fixing bugs affecting the game's visuals, polishing it to finally optimize it for launch, as well as some balancing for the final output. However, once the "Final Fantasy XV" game is out, fans should watch out for its post-launch DLC, which will start development after this release.

Tabata says that each DLC episode will implement certain gameplay mechanics to highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of each of the playable party members. Regardless, "Final Fantasy XV" will be released worldwide on  Nov. 29, and fans expect that this release date will be final.
