With only about two months to go before the release of "Fallout 4," Bethesda has begun revealing more details about what players can expect from the game.
This time around, the company has revealed more details about the free updates and the mod support which will be offered for "Fallout 4."
First off, Bethesda has announced that they will follow the "Skyrim" mold at least as it relates to releasing free updates for "Fallout 4." What this means is that players can expect the free updates to introduce more than just small tweaks and bug fixes to the game, as some of them may even introduce some new features.
Bethesda has indicated that they will be working together with players to come up with the content they will include in their free updates. The free updates are also expected to be released at fairly regular intervals.
Bethesda has also announced to release the Creation Kit, which will basically be their form of mod support for "Fallout 4." The company said they plan to release the Creation Kit early next year for personal computers (PCs). The Creation Kits for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also be released by next year.
A Season Pass will also be offered to "Fallout 4" players. The Season Pass will grant access to any downloadable content (DLC) released for the game, and it will be available for $30. Bethesda indicated that the price was a bargain, saying there would be at least $40 worth of content featured in the Season Pass.
In related news, DJ Three Dog, the popular host of Galaxy News Radio that is featured in "Fallout 3," will not be coming back for the next installment of the franchise, according to Game Rant.
The voice of DJ Three Dog is a familiar sound to many "Fallout 3" players as he provides a constant stream of news as well as music.
Bethesda has yet to share why they have chosen to remove DJ Three Dog from "Fallout 4."
